The power of the Spirit of Promise came over Abraham, later over Isaac, then over Jacob, over his son Joseph and also over Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David and the prophets.
Up to that point, only the children of Israel possessed such strength. But when God Himself came in the Person of His Son Jesus, the Spirit of Promise was expanded to include Gentiles, or non-Jews.
From that time on, the Spirit of Promise came over the apostles and anyone else that believed and surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ with all their strength, with all their understanding and with all their heart.
Each of these believers became a symbol in his age and manifested the glory of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel.
Each one of them made a difference in their respective eras.
They died, but the Spirit of Promise has not.
Just as each of them was replaced over the centuries and millennia, TODAY, the Spirit of Promise is searching for someone to replace His heroes of faith of the past in order to manifest the same glory in the present.
He wants to possess people of character…
People who are not afraid to stand up for their faith…
A faith that contradicts religiosity and personal interests and is ready to sacrifice the kingdom of this world for the Kingdom of God…
People who believe in the eternity of their souls and are willing to give up this world for eternal glory.
Who longs to surrender body, soul and spirit and be possessed by the Spirit of Promise?
Who is ready to do anything for his faith and love for the Lord Jesus Christ?
That’s right. Whoever wants to be, and to make a difference has to go against the behavior of the society we live in.
Who is ready to give up ownership over your own life and be a servant of the Lord of Promise?
Who longs for this?
Who believes?
Note how knowledge of the promise does not guarantee its fulfillment.
You have to be possessed by the Spirit of Promise in order to take possession of it. But to have Him you must pay the price.

We are very blessed that the Spirit of Promise was extended to us Gentiles until today... but the knowledge about this does not mean that we will immediately receive this Promise but we must take action and fight for it! We want a clear difference in our lives but it's not easy, first, we must have a radical change in us - in our behavior, personality, thoughts... Every great blessing is always paid with a high price, but those who are possessed by God's Spirit will never never fear or have doubts, but will always continue fighting and endure everything.
The Spirit of Promise revolutionised the way each of its possessor lived. They were never just another person, they were the difference. They were the Promise. The fact is that this Spirit is actually here for me too. Not just for them, for me!!!!!!!!!!
Bp, a price yes one must truly pay a price. Is hard but to me there is nothing worthier than take possession of what Father has promissed. I long for this and I believe in this, no matter what I will fight. They normaly say that the sky is the limit for me Heaven is the limit. I love my God.
Be blessed Bishop
Its so true dat knowledge alone it doesnt do much for a person, I mean der were ppl da time ov da apostles recieved da Promise of God, wen they heard the Truth...
Only when we truly surrender ourselves completely can we have the Spirit of Promise but we also need to be people of character that aren't afraid to assume their faith and defy the norm of the world for the Kingdom of God. Deep knowledge of the Spirit does not mean we will have the Spirit but after when we allow Him to take over our lives and let Him shape us as He wills.
That's so true Bishop! That's who I am.
Good Morning Bishop...
To pay the price is the first thing and to have faith that contradict the parents, guardian and the society at large is the second thing that stop many to have the Spirit of promise within them. But is it because they don't want this Spirit? No, They want but they are not ready to pay the price. This is not only "them" bishop, this also includes me. Because every day is a fight to be in faith, to trust in the Spirit of promise. Every day I should shake off the doubt, I should shake off the fear and move on.
