What’s the stinkiest, smelliest fart you’ve ever smelt? Does just remembering it make your nostrils burn and your face grimace? (I hope that wasn’t one of your own, under the sheets…)
Now multiply that stink by a million, and what do you have? You have the devil’s fart.
So, if you were in a room with the devil and he farted (what were you doing in a room with the devil, anyway?), what would you do?
You would run out of the room, of course. You would do anything —anything — to avoid that stink.
Very well. Here’s what I’d like you to do from now on: you’ll think of doubt as the devil’s fart.
Every time that a doubt comes to your mind, you’ll react like you would if you were in a room with the devil and he farted. You will get out of there — of that state of doubt — as fast as you can.
Doubt is a major reason why people fail. It’s what stinks your plans and gives your decisions (if you can manage to make any) a terrible after-smell.
Please remember that: doubt = devil’s fart

I agree with you Valkeny the devil fart is the was place anyone could ever be. In other words when we allow the doubt to take over our thoughts it stops us from thinking and making the right decision.

it seems funny at the beginning but you got a point there. I had never thought about that but now I will always picture that in my head every time a doubt would come by. I will RUN AWAY.

I totally acknowledge what Bishop is saying (the devil's fart). There is nothing as paralysing as doubt. It creates fear and fear is inhibiting, feeding the devil's purpose.
In a very long time this is the very best advice in dealing with doubt, one must get out of it faster than an athlete.

What do you do or how do you handle a situation when you have one step forward success and ten step backwards knock downs? It's driving me bonkers when I know I have been practising my faith intellectually by implementing my plan to the letter, be succesful, be faithful in tithe and offering but then.... And I can't put a finger to it why?
What am I doing wrong? I'm in a debt rut that is exhausting. Help

It sounds funny, but it's true.
This is indeed a wise way of seeing how to get rid of doubts, many many of us find it very hard not to give in into our doubts, as I learned a long time ago - That everytime I start doubting, I should "Doubt my doubts"! And, this msg makes it more clear and easier to do so, If you indeed apply it.
