Because of a lack of discernment, faith’s mysteries confuse and deceive those who have not yet been transformed.
Peter had faith to walk on water, but did not have the faith to stay above it.
Why is that?
Because two types of faith exist: rational and emotional faith.
Rational faith thinks, agrees with and takes action based on the Word of God, regardless of what it does or does not feel.
On the other hand, emotional faith exchanges the Holy Scriptures for feelings of the heart. It may seem absurd, but this is very common these days.
When supernatural faith is not allied with intelligence, the urges of the heart prevail and the outcome is small.
Emotional faith is based on signs of healing and miracles. As a result, a person has "faith" for some time. And yet, when they need to pass through a storm, they abandon their “faith". This is why we see so many ex-pastors, ex-assistants, ex-members, ex-pastor's wives, people who used to be delivered, people who used to be saved, ex-Christians...
Peter was a victim of this kind of faith. Because he saw Jesus walking on the water, he had faith to do the same. And he did it, but only for a short time.
The same thing happens to those with an emotional faith. They walk with Jesus for a while, but when they feel the need to find their other half, the lid to their pot, a fire burns in their hearts and they fall for the first person that comes along. A short time later they’re in a desperate search for more wood to keep that fire going.
But the wise do the exact opposite. They use their reason. And those who use their reason refuse to settle for small things. They think big. Their thoughts are in line with the thoughts of the Almighty.
Those who use a rational faith think, imagine and have a plan to make their dreams come true, and to have a promising future that begins right now.
They don’t need things to happen immediately, nor do they care to "fix their eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18
The wise have discernment. They know that building a house on sand is easy and quick, but offers no security. Their careful reasoning chooses to build upon the Rock.

Yes Bishop there are lots of Peters in our Churches today, we need to continue seeking to have a rationale faith so we can remain to the end.
'These have no root'
To recieve the word with joy, feelings have being created or stirred and a lively impression is being made but remember to recieve the word in our ears is one thing and to recieve Jesus in our soul is completely another thing.
My soul examine yoself today by the light of this text.
Dear Bp it's a strong message!!thanks.
Bp Thank You for the message.
It just shows that when we use our emotions we get no where fast.
It's not about what we feel but what we BELIVE.
IN FAITH

Breath Oh Holy Spirit. May everyone who has access to all these messages share with those who might not have. Emotions has always been causing man and woman on the face of the earth to waver between two thoughts. (If Baal is god then follow him but if God Jesus is God then base your ways on His Word) May the Holy Spirit bless come up on the sincere. 21 days of fast of Daniel
Thank you Bispo
Hello Bishop,
For every pot, a lid, not good to rush, to experiment with attitudes, driven by the anxiety, it will not work.
May God Bless you ...
The Spirit of discernment is key to those born & with the Spirit of God, its needed in many many ways and as you said Bishop; "They use their reason", "They do not rush things", "They use a ratinal Faith" and most importantly - "Their thoughts are in line with the thoughts of the Almighty".
Yes Bishop, the wise discern and build their houses on the rock. Like this they are pleasing the Holly Spirit. Reason why HE keep on making Himself available to us again and again.
Just like Jacob, let us not let Him go until He bless us. May God bless His people during this 21 days.
Those who use a rational faith are patient, not anxious & prepared.
Thank you Bishop.

'Stop questioning God and the things of God. Stop complicating matters and leaving your faith behind. Faith is to believe in something you can't see-that's all! if you believe you will be born of God' <<#BetterThan A NewPairOfShoes by Cristiane Cardoso
